Function With Intention.

Live With Capacity.

A limited-membership performance and longevity clinic in Barbados, bringing objective testing, rehabilitation and long-term clinical oversight together under one clinician who knows your history.

A small number of members will be accepted when Ascent opens in Barbados.

Why Ascent Exists

Physical capacity can fade quietly.
We believe it should be measured, built and protected.

After years in practice, I kept seeing the same pattern. People came in for a knee, a back or a shoulder, and their newest complaint was only part of it. Their strength, fitness and resilience had been slipping a little each year, too gradually to notice, until something ordinary gave it away: a hike on the weekend, the stairs at the end of a long day, the suitcase into the overhead bin. By then the change had been underway for years.

I could treat the immediate problem. What I couldn't do in a conventional clinic was stay with the bigger picture long enough to change where it was heading. Ascent exists for that. We measure where you are now, build the capacity your life asks of you, and retest over time, so the next change shows up in the numbers before it shows up in your life.

Most people don't have a single problem.

They have no one tracking the whole picture.

A physiotherapist treats the knee. A trainer writes the programme. A physician watches the blood pressure. Each does their part well, but no one is responsible for how it all fits together. The gradual changes in strength, fitness and balance that shape the decades ahead go unmeasured until they become a problem.

Pain is treated, then left until it returns.

Goals change, but the plan stays the same.

Our mission

To help people build and preserve the health, strength and capacity to live fully—to keep doing what brings them meaning and joy, share more of life with the people they love, and make the most of the decades ahead.

For one member, that means continuing to run or play tennis. For another, it means travelling independently, leading a demanding organization or keeping up with grandchildren. The clinical work at Ascent is designed around the life each member is trying to keep living.

Ascent takes ongoing responsibility for how your body performs, recovers and changes over time.

The Ascent Solution

01

ASSESS

A comprehensive baseline of how you move, what you can do and what you want to be capable of, measured rather than assumed.

02

PRIORITIZE

Three to five ranked priorities tied to your goals, so time and effort go where they make the most difference.

Everything at Ascent starts with a comprehensive assessment and builds from there.

03

BUILD

One coordinated plan across clinical care, rehabilitation, training and lifestyle, supported by a scheduled visit every week.

04

REASSESS

Objective retesting and an annual review, so the plan changes as your body and your life do.

Ascent opens in Barbados in late 2028.
